Good as always. Dig the simplicity on this one too, plus the color choices are on fleek as always B^))
Only issue for me is how this piece can't decide whether it's two dimensional or three. Some simple shading could fix this, or perhaps even make her right side a little more simplistic so it stays flat.

Andyo', I fucking love the way you draw hands. Any tips or tutorials you recommend? Hands are one of my weakest spots in art.

Taffytoad responds:

Thanks for the awesome critique as usual!! I swear your comments are always so on point. and in regards to hands I could have a go at giving a simple tutorial of sorts to help you out. i mainly draw them with a mix of bryan lee o'malley and egoraptors styles if that helps in terms of looking for references

Looks an awful lot like the old lady from that chocolate episode of spongebob. Except way more badass. Love the color choices and how much the creature stand's out. I'd suggest a little more detail overall with less texture, butayyye, still a style thang. Lookin' hella fine as always, friendo.

linda-mota responds:

Omg that old shriveled fish ahaha good one! Unfortunately the texture couldn't be helped, this is a weird canvas I got at a ROSS store. I don't know the type, but it's more rough than standard canvas and annoying to work with, but isn't that a part of the challenge?

Dang dude, what a interesting and unique thing you got going. I like the color choices that really add this sense of grossness to him that's pretty cool, plus I generally like the smug but damaged design for him overall. My advice? Take it easy on the blurring effect. It's really distracting and takes away from the cool realism you have on the face. Maybe use some softer lines in areas too, like under his chin (the white lines) and the lines around the shirt's color (dark green) since they're a little too dramatic and break that sense of realism. Overall, I'd say I like it though!

BoRKman responds:

Thank you for your critics. I learn more from it.

Goddamn this piece is amazing. I love how you took the usual color, lighting, and mood for this color and exaggerated it into something way cooler that really gives it life. You did a great job capturing the essence of Lapiz and I don't actually have anything in the way of criticism for you. I'd say to do a little more with the background, but the emptiness is perfect for the character and her mood.

And yo'- What school you going to?

Smashega responds:

Thank you so much for this detailed critique. As for my school, I go to SVA in New York.

Love this one- I know you generally lean towards a simplistic style, but this one stands out. The pose, the color choices, the composition; very fun and pleasant to look at. It's got this cute charm to it too, which I admire. Got no real criticism either, besides maybe add details like fingers and toes, but that or may not make it look better. Soyeah, nice job on this piece!

RoRo-Royerboat responds:

Ahhh, thank you very much! I appreciate the feedback <3

It's pretty abstract, but I enjoy how simultaneously controlled this piece looks. I feel it's more than "streaks of paint and a box" because everything comes together to put me in this dark, imaginative setting. The use of colors over the empty space really set this 3spoopy5me scene up. Anyone artist can draw a monster, but not many can give it such life and emotion like you did. Granted it's a little too messy for my taste, but that's more of a style thing. You're definitely one of the most unique artists on the portal as well, so hats off to that. Great job, brah.

linda-mota responds:

yea it is abstract looking for a study, but i liked the color so i thought fuck it and put it up here y'know. I'm glad you agree on the "2spoopy" line too, it is almost october anyway lol. It is super messy for a study too, btu at least some people enjoy it.

Shitman, this is really good 0:

I looooove the color choices, everything's so bright and pleasant to look at. The splatter and use of the squid creates a nice sense of quick motion as well, so I gotta say this is one of my favorites. Only real issue I have are the white lines. I get they were supposed to make things look shiny, but I feel they contrast too much with the black lines and it just looks a bit messy. Maybe try it with lighter colors and thicker lines and see how it works? I dunnah.

Great work as always man. I'll see about playing this game when I get the chance if it's as great as everyone says it is.

Noice! B^) Shading and composition are spot on as always, you really have an eye for setting your drawings up in a perfect way. This one's especially interesting because I'm not used to see your work with such thin lines. I wouldn't say I like it as much but it's cool to see you try some new things. Honestly, all critique I've got is that everything looks a bit *too* shiny. Although you did a great job on shading, I personally feel you went a bit too dramatic for this piece but it's nothing that bad. Your friend must looove this one.

Keep up the great work, brah.

Pretty good actually! I like the composition and the cutesy style it's drawn in. The shading's a bit messy and inconsistent and the hair looks a little odd, but I'd say this is great besides that.

Your artistic talents never fail to amazing me *o*

Sure, I may be a bit swayed to love this one because Game Grumps, butdamndude, this shit's amazing. Excellent composition and coloring, man. I love how expressive you made Dan and Arin as well, creatively capturing the overall characters those two are. Also, bonus points on Dan's NSP boxing apparel. Honestly, I don't have much in the ways of criticism. I guess the shine in Dan's hair seems a little too two dimensional and the background have a few more details here and there.

Excellent work dude, still wows me that you're talented enough to make this kind of stuff at our age.

Taffytoad responds:

Thanks man, I really appreciate that. Again your criticism is spot on as usual and thanks for the encouraging words!!
