I can’t wait to see you become king of the portal

Something I love so much about your content is the way it sounds and idk how many people mention it. You have such a great visual aesthetic that can just blend different types of media seamlessly and goddamn does the sound really sell it. The vocal effects you use are so perfect and fun to listen to, especially with how dialogue driven a lot of your stuff is. I guess my only complaint for this animation would be that it seems a little too topical with how specific some of the situations referenced are. Still very entertaining and well done nonetheless. You're definitely one of my favorite creators on the platform.

Hope this wins Jeff the "epic gamer of the year" award.

For real though, this game looks incredibly fun and creative and I can't wait to play it. I've been listening to sleepycast since it was out, so I know just how long the road's been and I'm very happy for you guys. Hope to see this out on steam real soon, you've definitely got my money.

This is fucking good. The facial expressions are MINT.

Tbh hella pain in the ass to animate, but sounds like it was worth it.

The art and animation are pretty terrible. However, I found myself liking this quite a bit because the voice acting was totally amazing. I wasn’t so certain about whether I’d like this or not but the voices perfectly delivered and brought life to these characters. Also the premise is pretty fun and original, although I’m a little confused about the ending.

I definitely agree that it looks like shit haha. But I've always wanted to make a cartoon and I finally decided that I wasn't going to let a little thing like not knowing how to draw stop me. Hopefully one day I can work with better artists/animators than myself.
But hey, thanks for the kind words! Means a lot!! I'm glad you liked the voices

Pretty solid. Personally, I find the premise to be a little overdone, but the way you handled it is still pretty charming. Especially with how wholesome the ending was. What reaaaally needs work though is the audio. This would've been a whole lot stronger if the voice acting and audio quality was better, along with maybe the addition of background music or something.

Still pretty good though, keep at it!

dianinhas responds:

Thank you so much :)
Ya, I struggled a bit with the audio due to having recorded way to close to the microphone, which ended up breaking the voices :/
I'll try to improve on it the next time :D

Pretty nice throwback to the days of early mario sprite parodies I would watch as a wee 9 year old on the internet. Got a few laughs out of me actually, which is impressive considering the insane amount of mario parodies out there on the web haha. This is creative and well-made, appreciate some of the original sprite work too! Hope to see more stuff like this in the future.

Thanks bud :) definitely appreciate the thoughtful response

I really appreciate projects like this. I know it's not perfect- Too long, lots of poorly done animation sequences, really repetitive. HOWEVER, anyone who uses these against this project are missing the point. This is creativity in purest form. Jazza's just gotten a bunch of people all interested in the same thing, with a variety of skill and talent, to just work on one consistent theme. Whether this builds connections, simply helps build and exercise skill, maybe even encourages peeps to animate, it's all positives and I'm glad to see such a collaborative project.
Admittedly I couldn't watch the whole thing, but it was fun just grazing through and seeing all the variety. Hell, maybe I'll even participate next time around.
Hope to see more like this soon!

Fucking incredible- even better than the first
Seeing how much your animation skills have gotten is so cool, especially since you're still using those skills to make crazy trippy shit with cute cartoon characters. This whole thing was just so amazing (with the exception of the bellsprout scene tho). I can't wait to see more from you dudes, keep up the good work!!

It was a pretty good music video, wish I spoke the language so I could understand the song haha. However, the music video captured the tone of the song very well just based on what I was able to make of it. I loved the character designs and how well drawn and animated things like the falling apart portions were done, and the 3D stuff with the buildings was amazing. Really creative stuff. Unfortunately, other aspects of the music video seemed unfinished. The lack of a background for a majority of the music video, lack of color, walk cycles that seemed a little float-y, and low amounts of frames used for certain movements. These are all things that could have been fixed had the extra time been spent to do so, and based on how well made the rest of the animation was, I know you could do it.

You're definitely very talented and I love your style. I know that if you just put in the extra effort, you could make something that other music videos would envy. I'd love to see more in the future!!

DanielCuervo responds:

hey thanks for ur comment, i did this music video for a colombian rockband, unfortunately i just had one month for making it, and the lack of background and color design is because the time... adding those things to my workflow could make everything more difficult and well... i had to accomplish my deadline :)
