Your artistic talents never fail to amazing me *o*

Sure, I may be a bit swayed to love this one because Game Grumps, butdamndude, this shit's amazing. Excellent composition and coloring, man. I love how expressive you made Dan and Arin as well, creatively capturing the overall characters those two are. Also, bonus points on Dan's NSP boxing apparel. Honestly, I don't have much in the ways of criticism. I guess the shine in Dan's hair seems a little too two dimensional and the background have a few more details here and there.

Excellent work dude, still wows me that you're talented enough to make this kind of stuff at our age.

Taffytoad responds:

Thanks man, I really appreciate that. Again your criticism is spot on as usual and thanks for the encouraging words!!

Holy fuck, way to go above and beyond. I've seen many of the trophies posted in the contest, and this might actually be my favorite. Definitely defeats my submission entirely, shit man, this is amazing. The way you painted the hair is very well done, it actually looks like it has the texture of a bust. Granted the cartoony face is quick to undo this effect, you managed to blend this element in very well. Good face choice too, btw, it's a bit subtler than many would go for but holds the full comedic effect.
Bravo, I hope to see more works of yours in the future~

YakovlevArt responds:

I realized once I started to paint the face, that I wasn't gonna be able to make it look THAT 3d unless I actually went and sculpted it in 3d (which I contemplated.)
Thanks for the fair critique. You have a great point and I'm glad you still liked it. As long as it did the "job" and it made people laugh, I'm happy with it.

I actually enjoy this piece.

While I do wish there was more shading, the color choices themselves are pretty good. I'm a fan of the creme colors, maaan. The expression on the character is very good as well, personally I feel like it needs a nose to complete it though. I also enjoy how everything look mildly melt-y, it gives a warm feel to the picture and definitely emphasizes the pleasure. Also the Xs were a nice choice.

Just add a bit more detail to it and you'll be gooood.

RoRo-Royerboat responds:

Thanks for the input, it's really appreciated <3

Gotta say, I fucking love your art style. It strikes this perfect middle-ground between realism and cartoony. It's so expressive and lively for a single image, and that's the kind of shit I looove. Honestly, I don't have much in the way of suggestions on ways you can improve. Some of the background characters look a little too goofy in my opinion, but that's more of a style thang.

You just keep doing what you're doing and get never stop improving.

Smashega responds:

This is the nicest thing anyone ever said to me. Thank you so much!

Beautiful piece.

It is so well put together, giving the beast this quiet, lurking, yet horrid and murderous personality. The lighting and setting really creates this dark and grim atmosphere that leaves so much to the imagination. It feels so real and I love it. The birds were a nice tough too.

Guess the only issue I really see in the piece is that the scythe on the right statue is slightly transparent. I don't know if this is intentional, but it doesn't look right. But even then, it took some real searching to find it.

In short, this piece fucking rocks, dude.

Xephio responds:

Huh, didnt notice that scythe. Its actually not transparent but looks like it because of the white highlight lines of his claw going over the scythe. Mustve forgotten to clean it up :)
Thanks mate

Goddamn, this is really good. It's got this cool sketchy texture that suits the sharper art style very well, and the color choices are excellent. Can't actually find much to critique on, besides I feel the robotic thingy behind the dudes arm seems a little too smooth. But even that might just be me.

Hella awesome work you got there.

zattdott responds:

thanks!! you are right about the robotic thingy... im just too lazy to fix it now XP

The shading (although a little messy) and composition are great, but the vomit itself looks a little off. It looks too '2D' and doesn't appear to be going any clear direction, which is a problem with the vomit is a big part of the piece. Perhaps some more three-dimensional shading would help this, along with a little more of a pained and drunken expression from the man's face to make it seem that he is currently and lively vomiting, that or at least have him bend forward a bit more to appear as though he is bending himself to aim the already exploding puke bomb. The words inside of it were a cool, creative touch, but again, didn't really fit well with the piece's existing style. Just a bit more improvement, and this piece could be a masterpiece.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, FRIEND!

SuperBastard responds:

Thanks for the review dude!
I stuck the words in the vomit because that's the title of the event the poster is advertising, and I didn't want to put too much detail into the puke because I might lose what little readability the words have.
You're totally right about the lack of direction though, it seems to be just kind of coming out and not really PROJECTILING like it could be. I could have pushed the expression more too.
Good thoughts!

That is the cutest goddamn rampage I've ever seen.

icheban responds:

Hahaha thanks

The color and detail is outstanding, only thing is that the background seems a little too "brushy" and fake Iguess. It feels too different from the highly detailed soldier standing on it.

bologen111 responds:

look at now

Holy shit, that thing's really cool. Diggin' the contrast between the blues and the dark background, but the background itself feels a little blank. That's some really good fucking coloring though.

Te3Time responds:

Yeah I got really quite tired and didn't know what to do with the bg but thanks a lot :)
